Atlas
We have developed an online Atlas meant to inform future restoration work. We have researched and assessed several tidal crossings (e.g. roads, dykes, culverts, etc.) along the coast of the Northumberland Strait to determine which crossings are restricting the flow of tidal water and negatively impacting salt marsh health.
Based on our analysis, we have ranked the sites and provided recommendations on what can be done to improve the crossings, and therefore the health of the salt marshes.
