What is Shared Solar?
Shared Solar is a new way to give Nova Scotians the opportunity to adopt solar electricity. It’s a community-oriented program being developed by the Province of Nova Scotia and will enable community solar gardens to be created across the province.
A community solar garden is a type of solar photovoltaic (PV) system that shares electricity with participating subscribers. These solar projects are particularly ideal for those who want to go solar but having solar panels on their home does not make sense – or they are a renter where this is not feasible.
You can have your say on what the Province of Nova Scotia should do to make a Shared Solar program a success. Clean Foundation, One North End, and Nakuset Energy have been asked to engage key stakeholders, so to share your thoughts fill out the questionnaire below, or send your ideas to SharedSolar@cleanfoundation.ca
