Job Title: Manager, Community-Based Energy Partnerships

Salary: $60,000-$65,000

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week) 

Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Position Summary: 

The Manager, Community-Based Energy Partnerships is an opportunity to oversee our suite of programs that will provide much needed energy training, education, engagement and partnerships within local communities. This position brings the excitement of versatility as it includes projects that will provide deep impact to the communities it serves. The manager will utilize their understanding of current trends and scaffold the success of their diverse team.  


  • Build and manager annual work plans and evaluation frameworks per program. 
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of programs in a fast-paced, quickly evolving environment 
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to create exciting promotional materials to capture the attention of the audiences needed. 
  • Participate in the recruitment and management of a diverse and collective team. 
  • Manage and support the Facilitation staff for classroom and community-based education and engagement including training modules within Clean’s Energy Professional Training program. 
  • Maintain relationships with participants throughout contributing community-based organizations. 
  • Work effectively with subject matter experts, directors, stakeholders and other workforce development professionals to communicate our programs. 
  • Manage the budgets and reporting of the department and suite of programs. 
  • Support the Director in the future innovation of initiatives at Clean. 


  • A degree, similar field or equivalent work experience will be important.  
  • Project and/or human resource management experience will be useful in this role 
  • Experience or passion for working with diverse communities throughout the province. 
  • Experience or strong interest in working with employment and education initiatives with African Nova Scotian, Mi’kmaw and other underrepresented communities will be considered an asset. 
  • Strong sense of initiative and confidence working independently, combined with the ability to lead a team.  
  • Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities. 
  • A wide scale of creativity to build this amazing initiative.  
  • Must have a valid Canadian driver’s license and be able to provide a Driver’s Abstract from the Registry of Motor Vehicle. 

Working Conditions 

  • Additional hours, or time outside of the normal work hours, may be required in order to meet operational requirements of planning and delivering specific projects at specific times of the year.  
  • Travel may be required
