Who We Are
Clean Foundation helps communities prepare for the realities of a changing climate. We work to protect local environments and build stronger, more resilient places to live and work.
With more than 35 years of experience, Clean is an environmental organization based in Nova Scotia, in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq. We deliver practical, on-the-ground solutions to address complex climate and environmental challenges in communities across the region.
As a trusted partner to governments, non-profits and community organizations, we take climate priorities and help turn them into programs that deliver meaningful results. Our work responds to local needs, ensuring solutions are inclusive, resilient to climate change and support stronger economies regionally and across Canada.

Scott has led Clean Foundation since 2016, working with all levels of governments and partner organizations across Atlantic Canada to address climate change and support communities in taking meaningful action. With 20 years of experience in climate and energy, he combines strategic vision with a practical, hands-on approach to turning good ideas into projects and programs that deliver a return on the investment. Scott believes progress comes from strong partnerships, locally grounded solutions, and ensuring climate solutions are accessible and beneficial to everyone. He works daily to ensure Clean delivers outcomes that build an affordable, resilient, clean economy.

Cindy has been with Clean Foundation since 2018, bringing years of experience creating and leading social-purpose organizations. As chief operation officer, she ensures teams have the resources, systems and support needed to advance Clean’s work through practical, community-focused climate solutions. With a focus on operational excellence and organizational growth, Cindy keeps everything running smoothly so staff can focus on what matters most.

Erin has over 15 years of experience at Clean Foundation, tackling environmental challenges that matter, from increasing electric vehicles to restoring coastal salt marshes. She leads teams at Clean that partner directly with communities, government and businesses to make the clean energy transition more accessible and achievable. With a background in law and policy, Erin brings people together to solve complex climate problems and move ideas into action.

For more than 20 years, Rob has been turning climate and energy ideas into practical solutions that work for people. He understands that every community is different and ensures Clean Foundation’s programs and projects meet people where they are, whether that means helping families improve home energy efficiency or supporting communities facing barriers in navigating climate and energy challenges. With degrees in non-profit management and public history, Rob brings together big picture thinking with local community knowledge in everything Clean does.
