Nova Scotia Youth Climate Bursary
Bursary Overview
The Nova Scotia Youth Climate Bursary provides financial support for youth in Nova Scotia to pursue training opportunities, professional development, post-secondary education, or other educational experiences that will help to address climate change.
The awards of $2,500 will be disbursed in Spring 2026.
The objective of the bursary is to encourage youth in Nova Scotia to pursue education or training related to climate change and to reduce employment barriers in the province’s clean economy. Bursary recipients will demonstrate a personal commitment to climate action or climate justice through their education and future employment.
This bursary is being offered by the Nova Scotia Youth Climate Council, with support from Clean and funding from the Province of Nova Scotia through the Department of Environment and Climate Change.
Applicant Eligibility
To be eligible for the bursary, you must meet all the following criteria:
- You will be between 14 and 24 years old on May 1, 2026.
- You are currently living in Nova Scotia and pursuing education or training within the province.
- You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, refugee or international student with a valid Canadian study permit.
- You are pursuing an education program or professional training opportunity that will help to address climate change in Nova Scotia.
