Building climate resilience in Nova Scotia’s municipalities. Join the MCLGWhat's the MCLG?
Does your municipality need help taking on climate change challenges? The Municipal Climate Learning Group (MCLG) is designed to support all municipalities across Nova Scotia in their efforts to address climate challenges and opportunities.
As an extension of Clean Foundation’s Community Climate Capacity Program, the MCLG offers municipal staff and elected officials opportunities to be part of a province-wide network of municipalities working together to tackle climate change, share best practices and advocate for municipal needs.
Who can participate?
The Municipal Climate Learning Group is open to municipal administrators, staff and elected officials across Nova Scotia.
What does the MCLG offer?
Coaching sessions: Registered members of the Municipal Climate Learning Group can request one-hour virtual sessions from Clean Foundation to explore climate-related topics like funding pathways, climate policies and adaptation plans. Our goal is to support your work by sharing helpful ideas, examples and resources you can build on as you move your climate work forward.
Information sessions: Gain access to information sessions, held periodically by the Community Climate Capacity team over the three-year program, offering insights into climate programs and resources.
Summit access: MCLG participants will have priority access to tickets for the annual Community Climate Capacity Summit, a key event for learning, celebrating successes and setting future goals.
