Job Title: Revenue/Cash Management Clerk

Program: Shared Services

Reports to: Senior Accountant

Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Summary of the Position:

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Revenue/Cash Management & Payroll Clerk is responsible for overall management of accounts receivable, cash management, account reconciliations and payroll for the organization.

Responsible for monthly allocations of deferred/accrued revenue and reconciling to program contracts.  The successful candidate should be familiar with full cycle accounting using Quick Books Online (QBO).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Revenue/Cash Management:

  • Prepare customer and contract invoices.
  • Follow up with customers on outstanding invoices.
  • Execute transactions and make weekly deposits.
  • Posting and reconciling monthly deferred/accrued from revenue schedules.
  • Reconciling bank and clearing accounts.
  • Posting and reconciling credit card statements and accounts.
  • Complete other related duties as required.

Payroll:

  • Process biweekly payroll using Deluxe Payweb
  • Monthly/Yearly payroll reconciliations
  • Work with Human Resources on the administration of benefits
  • Reconcile monthly benefit payments
  • Post payroll entries to QBO

Education and Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Three-years experience using Quickbooks online.
  • Experience using Deluxe Payweb for payroll.
  • Fluent with Excel, Microsoft Word and general understanding of office administration.
  • Personable and flexible.
