Job Title: Financial Reporting Analyst

Reports to: Manager – Finance and Accounting

Location: Dartmouth, NS

Hours: 35 per week (permanent, full time)

Anticipated Start Date: January 2023

Summary of the Position: 

This is an excellent opportunity for a Financial Reporting Analyst with strong multi-tasking, interpersonal and organizational skills. As a member of the Shared Services team, the Financial Analyst will provide financial expertise in the day-to-day operations of financial reporting.  Reporting to the Manager, Finance and Accounting, the Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for overall management of revenue accounting, cash management and month-end reporting across all departments.

The successful candidate must be familiar with full cycle accounting using Quick Books Online (QBO).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Revenue/Cash Management:

  • Month-end balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Preparation of draft month-end financial statements.
  • Preparation of budget vs actual reports for all departments and programs.
  • Execute transactions and make weekly bank deposits.
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Other related duties as required.

Education and Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Five years experience using Quickbooks online.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and general understanding of office administration.
  • Comfortable to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to suggest and implement changes.
