Reports to: Senior Manager, Clean Coasts
Salary Range: $50,000 annually
Hours: 35 per week (full-time, term position)
Location: Opportunity hybrid in the HRM, or remote in New Glasgow, NS
Anticipated Start Date: April 1, 2023 – December 20, 2024 with potential to renew

Position Summary:
Be part of a cleaner future for all. Clean is looking for an experienced and self-directed Project Coordinator to join our Clean Coasts team. If you’re someone with strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills, who is looking to help guide the development of an innovative climate change adaptation program, we want to hear from you.
This spring the Clean Coasts team will be starting work on a pilot program aimed at increasing the resilience of homes during flooding events. You’ll be part of the day-to-day delivery of the project.
You’ll be ready to roll up your sleeves to do what’s needed to help Clean deliver a brand-new quality program. As a flexible thinker and creative problem solver, you’ll be keen to break new ground and enjoy teamwork as much as we do.
Responsibilities:
As a Program Coordinator you will:
- Ensure the project team adheres to provided timelines and deliverables.
- Maintain documentation and project learnings throughout the length of the project.
- Communicate plans, actions, risks and issues with project deliverables and/or key stakeholders.
- Solve any challenges that may arise during the project.
- Build and manage relationships with multiple teams.
- Assist the Project Manager with administrative functions and processes.
- Process invoices and track budgets.
- Manage day-to-day activities for the project team.
- Analyze project data and produce progress reports.
- Engage key audiences by sharing project updates and outcomes.
- Perform public engagement/education activities.
- Support continuous project improvement and fundraising.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a university or community college diploma program or equivalent training and experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and timelines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- High computer proficiency in MS Office (I.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Hold a valid driver’s license and be legally able to drive in Canada.
- Experience working in a non-profit is an asset.
- Experience with overland flooding and/or home retrofit programs is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
The Program Coordinator will work in a hybrid environment spending some time in-office at one of Clean’s Dartmouth offices as well as remotely. Some travel will be required within Nova Scotia.
