Job Title: Clean Coasts Coordinator

Salary: $50,000 annually
Hours: 35 per week (Permanent, Full Time)
Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
The Clean Coasts Department works to foster coastal resiliency in Atlantic Canada by researching and restoring ecosystems and supporting communities through knowledge and skills training. The Clean Coasts Coordinator will support the successful delivery of existing projects and the development of new project opportunities by helping to manage projects, complete research and analysis on topics of interest, supporting funder reporting and information dissemination to key audiences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and updating project workplans and tracking documents and providing status updates to the Senior Manager of Clean Coasts on project milestones and deliverables.
- Maintaining and updating a register of departmental stakeholders.
- Working with team members to track and reconcile departmental expenses.
- Conducting background research and providing written and oral summaries on sector specific topics.
- Helping to identify opportunities for new projects and funding sources and working with the Program Development Manager and Senior Manager of Clean Coasts to develop funding proposals and respond to RFPs.
- Assisting with funder reports.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recent graduate (since September 2021) of an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Science, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills, along with superior interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
- Experience in research and data analysis.
- Direct experience in restoration or climate adaptation research is preferred but not required.
- Track record in working both independently and collaboratively with a team.
- High computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
