Home Energy Assessment
Most homes waste hundreds of dollars each year on energy bills – we can help you save some green.
A Home Energy Assessment can help
You could be wasting $500-$1,000 per year on energy bills due to energy inefficiencies. For just $199, one of our Certified Energy Advisors will assess your home from attic to basement, provide you with energy efficiency upgrade recommendations, and let you know about all the rebates that are available to help you save money. Complete any upgrades – such as insulation, draft-proofing, windows, or heat pumps – within 12 months and you could qualify for rebates or low-interest financing.
Homeowners who qualify for the Greener Homes program and install at least one eligible Greener Homes retrofit recommended by your energy advisor will be reimbursed $100 following your post-retrofit evaluation.
The Home Energy Assessment program is an initiative of Efficiency Nova Scotia – Clean Foundation is a provider of this energy service for the entire province.
Call 1-800-665-5377 province wide or 902-420-3474 in the Halifax region. Or, even easier – apply online now! Learn how your home can benefit from a retrofit.
NOTE: There is currently heavy demand for Home Energy Assessments, in part due to interest in the Canada Greener Homes rebate program. As a result, there could be a considerable wait time for your home audit. Our apologies – Clean, and all HEA delivery partners, are working hard to keep up with demand.
You may have heard about the new federal Greener Homes Grant…
The new initiative will offer rebates of up to $5,000 to help Canadian homeowners make energy efficiency retrofits. In Nova Scotia, the Canada Greener Homes Grant will be co-delivered with the Home Energy Assessment (HEA) program. This means anyone who enrolls in HEA will automatically be registered for the new federal rebates.
If you’ve already booked your Home Energy Assessment or are on a waiting list to receive an assessment once COVID restrictions are lifted, you will be automatically registered for the federal Greener Homes grants. Remember to keep all receipts for any upgrades you complete prior to your post-retrofit assessment.
