Science Horizons Internship Program
Placing young Canadians in roles in the clean economy.
The Science Horizons Internship Program provides employment opportunities for graduates aged 15 to 30 in the clean economy. Program wage subsidies help Canadian employers in relevant sectors hire the qualified professionals they need to grow, innovate and help combat climate change.
As a delivery agent for the Science Horizons Internship Program, Clean Foundation will subsidize:
- Up to 80 per cent of an intern’s salary to a maximum of $25,000 for youth from employment equity groups; and
- 50 per cent to a maximum of $25,000 for qualified, job-ready youth.

“Clean Foundation is such a vital and essentail resource and support for our work to save the environment and to connect people with nature, as well as to develop skills in youth and support staff retention. Clean also provides invaluable capacity, without which we would have a significantly smaller impact.”
“I think the Science Horizons program is an amazing opportunity allowing early career environmental professionals to take the first step into the green job market in Canada. It certainly allowed me to do so as a newcomer!”
“I am very glad to have had this experience, it gave me so many transferable skills and improved as well as expanded my skill set.”
